Giving Birth To Fall

I'm just going to come right out and say it.

I'm ready for fall.
It's true.
Summer came, it was hot, it was fun, but now it is time for the crisp-air colored-leafed jacket season.

It hit me 4 weeks ago. Exactly.
Turns out it's cold in Monterey, CA. I underestimated the chilliness of 60° and it was glorious.
On my walk to class in the mornings, it is not the warmest, but I can't wear a jacket because I get super sweaty hiking up that never-ending hill and by the end of the day it's warm anyways. It's hard. I live a hard life.
I can feel the earth trying so hard to push Fall out. It's so close and it wants to be here so bad!

I'm headed out to Sundance for a Saturday afternoon adventure. It should be chilly and colorful, right? I mean, it is Sundance. Speaking of Sundance. Ever done the Moonlight Ski Lift ride? Literally one of the funnest things I have ever done. I'll probably go enjoy a date-for-one next weekend.

Anyways.
Here's to Fall:
Football games. The trickling of colorful leaves. Jackets. Pumpkin treats. And holidays galore.

I'm A Scientist. Kind Of. Not Really.

Exercise Science is my major and it's better than your major.

I'm taking a Sports Psychology class and all we do is talk about sports (and the psychology behind it, but that's beside the point). It's awesome. It makes me giddy inside and I just want to run around giving everyone high fives and then go play a game.

I'm also taking a class that I originally thought was Kinesiology, but it's not, it's some kind of research class or something, I'm still not really sure. Every week we have to read an research article dealing with exercise science and then we just talk about what we read. There is some cool stuff happening in the world of health and exercise, I tell you what. We even get to tape each others ankles and play tag.

I talked with the adviser. I'm changing my track. Bye Bye PT, hello AT (PT=Physical Therapy. AT=Athletic Training). I appreciate good advisers. He made me feel good about my decision and gave me lots of information about the whole shindig (which he wrote down for me). Turns out going the AT route opens up tons of other doors because everything is almost requiring their people to be a ATC. Who knew? I should be applying for the program Fall 2013. Huzzah.

Looks like I might still be doing this:

Pandora> Spotify+iTunes

Because music has a place in my life.

Madness -by Muse
It's weird, but I like it.

Givin' Up On Love -by Slow Club
Saw these guys first in Magna. Immediately liked them. Saw them again in Monterey, still liked them.

Up and Away -by Can't StopWon't Stop
This was my summer jam. It feels old school to me and I love it.

Nobody Knows Me At All -by The Weepies.
I feel a little bit connected to this song.

Clap Your Hands. I'm Happy and I Know It.

I'm pretty certain this will be the best semester yet (knock on wood!)

The past 3 weeks have been blissful. I wasn't expecting it to be this good.
The summer ended with a bang (or maybe a few consecutive bangs)...(that's what she said?...).

Bear Lake happened which was easily one of the best Bear Lake trips yet. I attended TWO, not one, TWO Mumford and Sons concerts in ONE week. They were actually only separated by 3 days. It's frustrating to try and describe how incredible MAS is in concert, you can't understand unless you've actually experience it, so, I'll save myself some frustration and spare you the details. There was that road trip that I took to Monterey with some choice friends and meine brudder. I went on a date (it's been a drought lately) and went boating.

So, obviously, it was good.

I don't think I can express how much I am loving it up in Salt Lake going to the U and all. I get to wake up early every morning, actually eat breakfast, and walk up to campus while the sun is rising over the mountains. All you kids that don't have class till after 8 AM really miss out on the best part of the day. If you know me, you probably think that I am pulling your leg. "What? Kenlynn likes waking up early in the morning to go to class?" Yes, yes she does. I was surprised too. Of course, the only way I can make it to my 7:30 AM class is if I am in bed by 9:00 PM. I'm an old woman. Deal with it.
"Early to bed, early to rise makes a (wo)man healthy, wealthy, and wise." I'm putting Ben to the test.

Pictures. Because that's all anybody wants to see anyways.
Sexy and we know it.

Thank you Anthony Guerrero (whoever you are) for capturing this.
