Toenails: Umbrellas For Toe Skin

At times, my mind thinks differently than most people.

For example:
One day my roommate asked me, "Kenlynn, guess what I did today." So obviously I took a stab at what she had done and said, "You played hopscotch on campus and then learned the alphabet in French" (or something along those lines). She was in such shock that I had actually guessed. She was almost angry with me saying that, "When you ask some one "guess what I did today" you are suppose to say "what?". That's no fun.

Also, I ask probably about 4 pointless questions to every 1 non-pointless question.
For example:
Why do we have toenails? I know we have fingernails to help us pick things up, scratch ourselves if needed, tickle the squirmish one, and make the sticker smell. But WHY do we have toenails?? I don't believe that they are there for protection, what are they suppose to be protecting? They aren't there to help us pick things up, that's why we have fingers. They aren't there for balance, you can certainly balance without them, your toes can stand alone. If you find a believable answer, let me know.

As an attractive member of the opposite sex walks by, why do our eyes follow behind them and laser in on the section below the belt and above the knees? Why do we focus in on the butt? We all do it, but why? They are FAR from good looking. Eyes, I can understand, they are the window to the soul. Lips? Also understandable, but the buttocks? Really? I do find them interesting however, now that I know what the muscles look like. I guess you could say that I'm not superficial, I look below the skin.... [insert pity laugh].

A lot of the time I just like to get to the bottom of things and understand how things work.
Like earlier today I had a roommate watching The Biggest Loser and I asked, "Do the contestants have to pay to be on the show, or do they get paid to be on the show, or neither? That's what most of my questions are like.

I just need someone to follow me around with all of the answers. That would be nice. Or maybe a super advanced 8Ball. Till then I guess I'll have to start making up answers to my questions. That'll give me something to do.
You'd think that with all my question asking I would be brilliant. Whoever said "the more questions you ask, the smarter you'll be" lied. Or if that saying is true, I'd hate to know what I would be like without all the question asking...
