Or this:
I start to ache for my long hair.
Three-ish years ago, I chopped it all. 16 inches to be exact. I mailed it away to some stranger. I don't regret it. I highly enjoy my short hair, but lately I've had such a desire to pull my hair into a side braid or something of the sort.
Apparently hair grows at a rate of 6" a year. That means it should take 3 years to get back to my original length. Except for me, it will probably take double that time. My hair is a slow grower. The only thing that likes to grow are my bangs...
Now, I've heard that horse shampoo is suppose to make it grow faster. That and pre-natal vitamins. So, if I use them at the same time, does that mean my hair will grow like a mad woman?
What I really want to know is, who was the first person to try horse shampoo on their own locks? I can just imagine:
Joseph walks into his bathroom. Oh no, there is no shampoo. Dang. Let's think... Oh yeah, we have shampoo for our horses. Obviously I have no other option but to use up all their mane wash. After scrubbing the scalp, Jo looked in the mirror and voilá he can now run for homecoming queen.
I don't really want to wash my hair with horse shampoo, it kind of weirds me out.
I'll be "pre-natal" eventually right? There's nothing wrong with getting some needed vitamins and long hair.
I don't know if I'll be patient enough. I don't know that I can make it through the awkward stage of hair growth. I might give up and chop it before there is even enough to "chop."
I'll see how far I can make it.

oh oh oh. i know a friend, she chopped her hair to her chin, and a year later by her wedding it was at least 10 inches longer. she swears by biotin, i think you can get it at smiths, it's just a vitamin but it makes you hair grow super fast-- or so i've heard.
ReplyDeleteOoh. Awesome! I'll have to check it out. It sounds a lot more normal compared to horse shampoo. Sweet.
